How much does emergency glass repair cost?
The emergency call out fee is from $395 (+GST) depending on location, and replacement glass is priced per square metre by type. See our typical costs for a guide. We’ll give you an all inclusive quote, including installation, before we start.
Do you offer 24/7 emergency glass repair?
Yes we do offer 24/7 glass repair, 365 days a year. Call our emergency glass repair number at any time, including nights, weekends and public holidays. We’ll ask about the damage and your location, then confirm lead time and the next steps. For urgent help, call 0800 804 804.
How quickly can a glazier get to me?
Arrival times depend on your location, traffic, the type of damage and current demand. If you are in the metro Auckland area we can usually get to you within 1-2 hours, but we’ll always give you an estimated arrival time when you call. Let us know if your property is unsecured, rain is getting in or broken glass is creating an immediate hazard.
Can you replace the glass on the first visit?
Some standard panes can be replaced on the first visit, depending on size and stock. Toughened safety glass, laminated glass and double-glazed units will likely need to be measured and ordered. If the correct replacement is not ready, we can discuss temporarily securing the opening and arranging a return visit.
Can I claim broken glass on my insurance?
That depends on your policy, the cause of the damage and any excess. Check with your insurer about cover and approval requirements, and let us know if you intend to make a claim. Take photos from a safe distance if you can. We work with insurers all the time and will take our own photos as well and provide an invoice detailing the work carried out.
Do you repair ranch sliders and glass doors?
Yes, we can repair or replace damaged glass in ranch sliders, patio doors and entrance doors, as well as house windows and commercial glazing. The replacement depends on the frame, opening and glass requirements. Tell us if the frame, joinery or door mechanism is also damaged so we can discuss what is needed.
What should I do while I wait?
Keep children, pets and other people away from the glass. Avoid handling loose shards or putting pressure on a cracked pane. If it is safe to do so, close off the room and move valuables away from the opening. When you call tell us about exposed entrances, weather damage or any difficulty accessing the property. This will help us provide the best advice.
Do you cover my part of Auckland?
We cover the entirety of the greater Auckland region, including Central Auckland, the North Shore, West Auckland, South Auckland and East Auckland. If you are outside those areas, you should still call us because we are fully mobile and often travel for jobs outside of the greater Auckland area.
